Diaza Legacy: 2024 Achievements and Future Plans

on Feb 19 2025
Since our initial start in 2019, Diaza Football has taken notable strides when it comes to reaching our mission. Last year Diaza made its greatest achievements, yet it is only the beginning. In May of 2024, Diaza partnered with BeTheNextPro Soccer to host tryouts for ambitious players and provide them with the opportunity to showcase their skills. During this three-day combine, leagues like USL Championship Club, NISA, and MLS Next Pro, as well as several European coaches were present to scout new and upcoming talent. The ten best players were flown to Europe to continue the connections and progress for their careers that Diaza X BeTheNextPro were able to offer. Over the course of last year, Diaza signed three youth academies containing between 100 to 200 players each. These three teams include the U.S. Soccer Prospects, Ultimate Soccer Training, and the CH4 Soccer Academy. These clubs are based in Texas, New York, and Florida, respectively. This allowed Diaza to display the variety of its brand offerings by providing them to all age groups and levels. On August 22, 2024, Brooklyn FC announced their multi-year partnership with Diaza, writing, “A renowned brand synonymous with passion, endurance, and excellence, DIAZA is a trailblazer in the sportswear industry with deep roots in the soccer community.” Diaza provides them with their men’s, women’s, and youth teams' gear—making the Brooklyn FC Women our first Pro Women's Team in NYC. On June 16th, 2024, Diaza was the official apparel provider for the Game of Legends held at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. This match featured two of the greatest faces in football history, Ronaldinho and Kaka—both serving as captains of their own teams. The event showcased Diaza’s capabilities in the sports apparel field and solidified our relationships with legends like Ronaldinho. On July 8th, 2024, Italian side Campobasso FC announced Diaza as its official technical sponsor. After months of collaboration and an in-person visit to Italy, Diaza and Campobasso FC forged a partnership based on shared passion and goals. Finally, on December 12, 2024, we unveiled our biggest collaboration of the year: the Liquid Death x Campobasso limited-edition jersey. Featuring a sleek all-black design with red and gold detailing and the Liquid Death skull logo front and center, this release exemplified our mission to empower smaller teams with professional-grade gear.

THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP FC

on Nov 21 2024
New York, NY and Orlando, FL — Diaza Football is proud to announce a new partnership with The Power of Friendship FC, an innovative startup soccer team based in Orlando, Florida, competing in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL). Founded by Sola Fatade, The Power of Friendship FC aims to redefine community-based soccer with an inclusive, free-to-play model that prioritizes camaraderie, accessibility, and a shared love for the game. The Power of Friendship FC began with a simple, powerful vision from its founder, Sola Fatade. Reflecting on his experiences, Sola shares, “I wanted to play soccer competitively with people I enjoyed being around. On so many teams, I found myself investing significant time, energy, and money without receiving the support or environment that players deserve. Instead of waiting for someone else to create that team, I decided to build it myself.” Today, The Power of Friendship FC is more than just a team; it’s a place where players and fans alike can feel at home. The club’s free-to-play model breaks down financial barriers, making competitive soccer accessible to all. Every game and practice is recorded, providing players with a valuable tool to analyze their performance and create highlight reels to support their soccer careers. This approach not only enriches the players’ experience but also equips them with opportunities for advancement, on and off the field. The team currently offers men’s competitive soccer in multiple formats, including 11v11, 7v7, and 5v5. In the future, they aim to expand into beach soccer and hope to offer the same opportunities for women and youth players as they grow. The Power of Friendship FC’s vision extends beyond soccer—it’s about creating a supportive space where fans and players come together. The team regularly hosts events like field days and post-game dinners, where community members can socialize, enjoy food, music, and engage in friendly sports activities. “We want to be a positive presence in the community, offering a place where people can get together, work together, and play together,” Sola explains. The team’s new partnership with Diaza Football brings a fresh level of professionalism and style to their journey. “After I started the team, I looked for custom uniforms that reflected our unique team culture,” says Sola. “I quickly realized the options were limited with big brands. When Diaza reached out and showed a genuine interest in helping us bring our vision to life, it was clear they were the right fit. The Diaza team has been incredibly supportive, professional, and truly cares about our goals. I’m proud of what we’ve created together and excited for our future collaborations.” In collaboration with Diaza, The Power of Friendship FC’s new uniforms are more than just kits; they’re a symbol of the team’s identity and values. Crafted with high-quality materials, the jerseys combine vibrant colors and unique details that reflect the spirit of friendship and community. These jerseys offer both performance and style, allowing players and fans to wear them with pride as symbols of their connection to the team. Diaza Football’s founder, Diego Hurtado, spoke about the significance of this partnership: “It’s incredibly important to work on growing soccer from its roots. This partnership with The Power of Friendship FC aligns perfectly with what we believe in at Diaza: building from the community, from shared ideals, from something as simple and profound as a group of friends united by the ball. We’re honored to support teams like this that reflect the values of passion and teamwork.” The Power of Friendship FC’s entry into the UPSL aligns seamlessly with the league’s mission to make soccer accessible to communities across the country. “Not every city can have an MLS team, but every city can have a UPSL team,” says Sola. “The UPSL is uniquely positioned to help soccer grow in the U.S., offering opportunities to a wide range of players who want to compete at a high level without the restrictions of college or professional league systems.” As Diaza and The Power of Friendship FC embark on this exciting journey together, they invite like-minded individuals and businesses to join them in their mission to make competitive soccer accessible to all. This partnership is just the beginning, and both Diaza and The Power of Friendship FC are excited to make a lasting impact on the Orlando community and beyond. DIAZA AND CHICAGO HOUSE WORKING TOGETHER! THIS IS HAPPENING!

on May 24 2023
With the signing of a one-year contract, #TheChampionsBrand has found its home in Chicago, Illinois. With the US Open Cup just getting started, we bring the #DiazaMentality to the finish line. But first, let’s know a little bit more about Chicago House. Chicago House AC was launched in 2021 as a professional club to bring soccer with a social conscience to Chicago while inviting all to join our House. House is structured as a public benefit corporation. This means, in addition to other considerations, we are committed to grassroots engagement across the diverse landscape of Chicagoland’s great communities. This includes working with appropriate amateur sports teams, cultural and social justice organizations and international groups to develop relationships that will mutually benefit the club and its community partners. The team has a deeply positive impact on underserved neighborhoods through numerous initiatives that provide opportunities for educational programming, mentorship and safe places to play soccer and futsal for children in the city. House also works inclusively with organizations to improve social justice, racial equality, diversity and community improvement. “House moved from the third division NISA to Midwest Premier League in 2022 and went 13 straight matches undefeated while losing only one time”, explained Peter Wilt, managing partner, CEO and founder of Chicago House Athletic Club, “It was a successful MWPL season going undefeated 10 straight matches after suffering a 1-0 loss in its opener. House then entered regional US Open Cup qualifying in August, 2022 and advanced through all four rounds to qualify for the 2023 US Open Cup in dramatic fashion with a nine round penalty kick victory over Brockton United FC outside Boston, MA.”   Chicago House also serves non-profit organizations like New Life Centers and the Ronald McDonald House of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana. At New Life Centers House players, coaches, staff and owners volunteer to assist with their youth soccer programming and food distribution program.  New Life Centers of Chicagoland NFP is a model for gang intervention and after-school programs. It was originally created in 2005 to address the needs of the neighbors’ surrounding locations of New Life Community Church. As neighbors approached the church with pressing issues–youth violence, gang violence, teen pregnancy, justice system involvement, unemployment–New Life responded with custom-made Centers programs that fit the community. House us proud to support New Life Centers initiatives. Ronald McDonald House has served Chicago House staff members Brian Koenig and Jacob Rutledge personally several times and inspired House to give back through volunteer and fundraising efforts. They exist so families can get better together. They believe when a child is sick, a family is sick. That’s why, since 1977, RMH has kept families together with their hospitalized children through the Ronald McDonald House® and Ronald McDonald Family Room® programs, enabling them to get better together. Diaza is always focused on establish new partnerships with organization that bring something special and unique to the soccer table. And on that subject, Chicago House provides an alternative to the existing soccer landscape in Chicago. The club provides tremendous development opportunities for high level players capable of playing professional soccer. Many House players have moved up after each of the club's two seasons to higher level professional clubs. Those players have gone on to sign professional contracts domestically in third division NISA, USL League One and MLS Next Pro and to 2nd division USL Championship as well as in Europe and Mexico. House, led by Technical Director and Head Coach Matt Poland is the only amateur club in the region that provides four weekly training sessions in addition to a seven month schedule of competitive games which in 2023 includes participation in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.   Speaking about the community side, Chicago House is committed to being a resource to the community in greater Chicagoland. House players, coaches, staff and owners volunteer their time to underserved communities in various charitable efforts and the players also serve as youth soccer coaches in the city and suburbs. “Many of the players also provide individual personal soccer training to help grow the game for the next generation in Chicagoland. Chicago House is among the Midwest Premier League leaders in social media following and engagement with more Twitter, Instagram and Facebook followers than any team in the 36 club league. House uses its strong social media presence and large email database to communicate regularly with fans and keep the community engaged”, said club’s CEO Peter. Finally, Wilt took a minute to share his insights about this new partnership: “Diaza's values of family, strength, leadership, passion, overcoming obstacles, daily improvement, endurance and hard effort are admired by Chicago House. House aspires to embrace and share those values while wearing the Diaza brand. The Diaza brand will be an important part of this phase of the Chicago House development as House grows from a 1st and 2nd team in 2022 to add a women's team and girls teams in 2023 and boys youth teams in 2024. The shared values and vision of Diaza and Chicago House will continue to grow as we work together on the field and in the community.” Both Chicago House and Diaza believe winning goes beyond the pitch and into the community. Chicago House AC shares the values of all Chicagoans with a special emphasis on social justice, racial equality, inclusion, serving the underserved, and having fun while doing it. Chicago House AC will actively work to make Chicago a better place through philanthropy, service, winning trophies, and inspiring Chicagoans to stand at the forefront of their communities to create lasting change.
DIAZA WILL CONTINUE TO SUCCESSFULLY WORK TOGETHER WITH AFC ANN ARBOR FOR TWO MORE YEARS.

DIAZA WILL CONTINUE TO SUCCESSFULLY WORK TOGETHER WITH AFC ANN ARBOR FOR TWO MORE YEARS.

on Apr 26 2023
Diaza continues to bet on keeping alive relations with organizations that see Soccer / Football from a global approach. Not only looking for sporting success but also a positive contribution in the community. As well as Diaza, AFC Ann Arbor is the kind of organization driven to make an impact in the community, with an emphasis on creating opportunity for players while focusing on building the AFC Ann Arbor family. Association Football Club Ann Arbor is an elite amateur soccer club owned and operated by a diverse group of entrepreneurs, soccer fans and sports professionals. Originally founded in 2014 by Jamey Amrine, the club now operates through its board of directors and a group of dedicated volunteers. And as for 2023, the expectations are high: “The main thing this year is the return to Hollway Field at Pioneer High School for our home venue”, explains Amrine, “We're bringing on some new sponsors, but also want to honor our longtime sponsors like Bank of Ann Arbor and Wickfield Properties. We're looking forward to bringing the gameday energy back that we had in our first three seasons at Hollway.” With a Women and Men’s team successfully playing in the USL, some chances also are operating around the club in early 2023. Regarding that, Jamey Amrine let us know that: “We've hired former AFC Ann Arbor and University of Michigan player Kevin "KT" Taylor as our women's coach. Coach Rod Aslani will return with the men's team. We're looking forward to our second season in USL League 2 and USL W League and taking our successes to the next level.” During the 2022 postseason some big news came around the women’s team. News that really makes everyone around AFC Ann Arbor’s family proud. Chloe Ricketts was transferred to NWSL’s Washington Spirit and Jayde Riviere to England’s Manchester United: “We are really starting to push a lot of players on to the next level”, says Amrine, “Beyond the incredible success of Chloe and Jayde, we have several former players playing in the top divisions of their countries, including in the US, Belgium, Israel, Iceland, and beyond. Chloe grew up as a fan of the Club and was able to star for us as a step to the top level of the women's game. We can't wait to see how far she goes. And Jayde was already a star with the University of Michigan and for the Canadian National Team before she featured in our Club. She's on to massive things now at Manchester United. Both are hugely talented players, but also truly wonderful people.” On the community side, AFC Ann Arbor is always deepening their roots and relationships. They are working to continue and strengthen their existing ties, as well as expand into new areas. They, as well as Diaza, want to find ways to grow the #AFCAAFamily to all corners of the Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County communities. “We are also a family-oriented club which means our match day environment is created specifically for families to come and enjoy. It also means that within our organization, we operate with a family culture which means that our players, coaches, staff, supporters and community partners are all unified in their love for the game and of course, AFC Ann Arbor.”, adds club’s founder Jamey Amrine.   Diego Hurtado, Diaza's founder, opened up to let us know his thoughts on how great this partnership has been: "Renewing our contract with an elite club like Ann Arbor is a clear indication that we are on the right path and doing things the right way. Our relationship with them has been exceptional from the very beginning, as we expected nothing less from such a professionally-run organization. But it's not just about doing business with them; we also have meaningful discussions on how we can come together to make a positive impact on the community. It's truly inspiring to see players like Chloe, who moved on to Washington Spirit, and Jayde, who joined Manchester United, after starting with the club. It's a testament to the hard work and dedication behind the scenes, and we are incredibly proud to be by their side working with them. Then we dropped the ball to Ann Arbor's end: How do you see Diaza fits in with the club's development?, we asked.  Amrine instantly replies: “Diaza has been an excellent partner, both in providing top quality teamwear, and creative designs that represent our club and community. We're already seeing players wearing our kits on the field who once wore our jerseys as young fans. We want local kids to put on the jersey and see themselves as future stars for AFC Ann Arbor.”

DIAZA AND CULTURES UNITED WORKING TOGETHER AS ONE!

on Feb 22 2023
The Diaza Mentality resonates with Cultures United and vice versa. A multiyear partnership that is truly meant to be. Cultures United’s motto is “Creating community and uniting cultures through football” and for Diaza and Cultures United, we know that it’s more than just a sport. We are building our future leaders in our community, giving them the tools and training necessary to grow on and off the field. A culture that is inclusive, full of energy and strength that'll inspire others to do the same. Founded in 2020 by Colombian immigrant Sebastian Diaz, Cultures United is a semi-professional soccer organization that develops young players at no cost and trains them to become community leaders at the same time. Based in diverse South King County, Seattle, the club recruits players from places like Kent, Auburn, and Federal Way, for whom soccer is a common language. The men’s team, which has won the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Premier Soccer League, includes players with connections to countries such as Zambia, Congo, Honduras, Chile, and Mexico. Diaz explains a little bit more about the club’s genesis: “I got started in 2020 in the hecticness of a pandemic. Our goal was to unite people, of different cultures, at a time when we were all separated. For us being a club that celebrates diversity, we also recognize that soccer is the biggest social tool in the world. We decided that we wanted to create a community around the sport, that is what we have been doing, and why we are popular in our community.” The organization is composed of services for youth and young adults. For youth, Cultures United does countless amounts of service hours through free soccer camps and clinics, for the young adults they offer a pathway to athletic development, also at no charge. The Cultures United Academy is where the sport is made accessible and where they introduce the sport and life skills. “Our adult programs compete in the UPSL, WPSL, US Open Cup, and Washington Super Cup. We are planning an expansion into the USL in the future on both sides, men & women.”, adds Diaz. “We want to highlight the community more than anything”, Diaz details, “For us the sport represents a lot, it is almost like a religion to most of us. But we also want to be intentional with it. We want to do things that other teams aren't doing, regardless of the level. When it comes to our community we want to do it bigger than anyone else. Our efforts have been recognized by Chelsea FC, Gatorade x Pepsi's "Team of Champions" and the US Soccer Foundation through awards for the work we do. We want to continue to put our community on the national & international map. As is stated, Cultures United's relationship with the community is key: “We have multiple partnerships.”, says Sebastian Diaz, “Since day one we have also been intentional about partnering with organizations, schools, community centers, and community leaders. We put together beautiful initiatives. Our popularity around Seattle has grown and we are now partnering with organizations like the Sounders FC, Seattle Kraken, Oakland Roots, Ballard FC, and many others on the way.” Nearly 100 students — boys and girls — played soccer with Cultures United at White Center Heights Elementary, said Shoshanna Cohen, a teacher who started the program because many kids at her school can’t afford to join recreational teams that charge money. The soccer program has changed the culture of the area school for the better by helping kids connect with each other outside of class, and Cultures United coaches and players have become role models. In that general context, does Diaza really fit in their near future development? Diaz responds: “Diaza is allowing us to level up. We knew from the very beginning that we wanted to be part of a professional partnership like this one. We are excited about this expansion, to make sure our players, our coaches, and our fans, can represent the team culture. Along with Diaza, we want to take Cultures United FC to as many places in the world as possible.” And the first step to celebrate this partnership was to introduce Cultures United’s 2023 home kit. The Kit is called "Juneteenth" and the design speaks for itself. It celebrates Black History Month and Juneteenth, which is a national holiday celebrating freedom and commemorating emancipation from slavery. “To us, we aren't afraid to showcase our culture, where no one is left behind. A culture that acknowledges others that deserve recognition.”, added Sebastian Diaz, Cultures United’s Founder and Program Director.

Diaza and Major League Quadball announces New Partnership

on Feb 17 2023
All the MLQ franchises will have new uniforms provided by Diaza   New York (February 17, 2023) — The sport inspired by Quidditch is getting a new uniform partner. Major League Quadball (MLQ) is partnering with Diaza, a soccer apparel brand founded by former professional soccer player Diego Hurtado. The Long Island City-based company has struck a three-year deal with MLQ to provide new uniforms for the quadball league’s 16 teams across the U.S. and Canada. For the first time, the athletes will have the option to order branded compression shorts, compression pants and compression long sleeves. “I can't deny that I didn't know much about MLQ when I first heard about it, but as soon as I learned about the league and how professional they are, I became interested,” said Hurtado. “After a few conversations and observing how they present themselves, I knew we had to sign with them.” Created in 2015, MLQ is the equivalent of the NFL or the MLB for quadball, the real-life sport originally adapted from the Harry Potter series by students at Middlebury College in Vermont. A mixed-gender, full-contact sport, quadball is now played by 600 teams in 40 countries. The rules incorporate a mix of elements from basketball, rugby and dodgeball. Diaza was started in 2018 under the leadership of Hurtado. Born in Bogota, Colombia, Hurtado played for Miami United and the New York Cosmos in the North American Soccer League and the Las Vegas Lights in the United Soccer League. The name of the company is a term from Colombia meaning “passion, endurance and hard effort.” “I immediately started watching the games,” said Hurtado when his team informed him about MLQ. “I saw players competing to the maximum and giving it their all. They show so much passion for what they do, and that caught me right away. I knew the league and the players have the #DiazaMentality.” Des Moines, Iowa was recently announced to host the 2023 MLQ Championship. The teams compete during the regular season to qualify for the marquee season-ending event.   About Major League Quadball: Quadball is a competitive, full-contact, co-ed sport played by athletes around the world. The Sky's the Limit: Diaza and Frederick Skyline CF renewed their alliance for the next 2 years!

on Dec 14 2022
Soccer in the US has been growing faster and bigger towards the hearts of the communities. From all sides of the region, nowadays, it's not strange to find a soccer field in any town or city. That's exactly what's happening in Frederick, Maryland, home of the Skyline CF.    To take interest in Soccer and make the first steps into this world has always been surrounded by tough decisions. So we asked Joel Ramirez, founder of the Club, about what it was like for him:  "I found interest in soccer through my family as I have always played and loved the game. I have played soccer since I was 5 years old. The team comes from a chance I saw within the game itself. In our area, there have been times players get pushed away or looked over because they did not fit the status of some of the club teams; not all but some. If it was money, height, weight, etc, it had happened before. Another reason was to give many adults a second chance to play at a high level. The opportunity to break the gap within adult soccer to truly give everyone a chance to play at the professional/semi-pro level. Our motto is 'unite & believe, the sky's the limit’. This is what we stand by."   Ramirez, father of two boys and serving with the Maryland Army National Guard's 29th Military Police Company, hopes to help change the culture around soccer:  "This organization is a focal point for soccer among adults. Giving them the opportunity to play at a high level and not having their experience overlooked." And this is what they are bringing to the "Soccer Table", a TEAM:  "What I brought to the soccer world was just the team, Skyline.", defines Ramirez, "But what my staff and I have done together is create a new bridge for culture and opportunity. Skyline will give you an opportunity to play at the semi-pro/pro level. With a motto of focusing on uniting everyone involved with the game of soccer, we have truly created a program where the sky's the limit. Your soccer goals matter here and you are family. Those who have been involved with us will say this as well. We have brought an opportunity within the soccer community that has value and meaning. It's more than just the game, it's about the players and why we started."     As the organization continues to grow, Ramirez is also looking to expand Skyline FC into a multi-sport organization in 2023 and, of course, endure its relationship with Frederick and the whole Maryland community:   "Our relationship with the community is good, we are only a year old and the impact and recognition we have gotten have been great! Can it be better? Yes, and every day we are working with local sponsors and businesses to get to know the community more." Finally, we wanted to know a little more about how it is to work side by side with Diaza, and here's what Joel Ramirez had to say:  "Diaza fits our development in the meaning behind the organization well. Creating this deal has opened the door for many more opportunities and gives our players/community the happy feeling of knowing we have a company that not only supplies all our gear but treats their teams as a family, the same as we treat our players. We are the first Frederick team to sign something like this within UPSL. It feels good to create a relationship with a company that truly cares about their teams and not see them as a number."   #UnitedAndBelieve

Better Together: Diaza and NJ Alliance changing the culture in this multi-year partnership

on Dec 14 2022
In the heart of New Jersey, Diaza and NJ Alliance recognized the uncap potential of great talent has yet to be unlocked. In the hometown where the NISA NATION and UPSL champions have grown and made a name for themselves in the community, they are now partnering with Diaza to create an atmosphere where young talents can flourish and take them to the "next level" while representing themselves professionally in their gear.  To get to know them better and go deep in the roots of NJ Alliance, we shared some thoughts with Edgar Guardia, president of the Organization: So Edgar, How did you find interest in Soccer? Let us know some things about the team's story. As first generation Peruvian-American, el futbol was a part of our daily life. I grew up playing in local leagues and in high school. The club began as a way for me to give back to the local community, recognizing the limitations placed on athletes by the high cost of registrations, camps, and obtaining decent training. I was one of those kids that at various times could not afford to join some of the more elite programs my friends were participating in. Sometimes my parents had to choose between registration fees and work, or I needed to work to help make ends meet. So, when I was in the position to do so financially I was set on fixing this broken “pay-to-play” system. I founded this Club as a nonprofit with the goal of establishing a program whose mission is to create a path for local talent without financial restriction. If you work hard enough you should have a fair chance at playing the sport you love.  I started my own business in 2012 called Unified Home Systems which is the sponsor of the club. Our club New Jersey Alliance Futbol Club boasts two men’s teams playing in the United Premier Soccer League’s (UPSL) Premier and Division 1 league and a women’s team that just finished their season in the New York Metropolitan Women’s Soccer League (NYMWL) and also plays in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL). Let us know a little about the organization's projects.  At a macro level, we are looking to move one or two of our teams up in their respective leagues. We also look forward to expanding our sponsorship reach. To date, we have primarily relied on the sponsorship of my business Unified Home Systems, and a few in-kind sponsors. But in 2023 our aim will be to grow our network and invite partnerships and alliances for our growing club. We strongly believe that there is a lot of opportunity for visibility and growth for sponsors. Relatedly, in our 3-5 year plan we are looking to become owners of a training facility, that’s very exciting and will help us expand our ability to promote and serve the community, something that remains a great part of our mission.  What do you want to bring to the soccer table? Change. Change in how the soccer system in the United States works. Change in the way the pyramid is viewed here in the US. We are also looking to promote as much local talent as possible. We believe there are many undiscovered talents locally and across the country. What's your relationship with the community? We are grateful for the opportunity to help run clinics and regularly assist local recreational programs with coaching and refereeing. How do you see Diaza fits in with your near future development?  Diego Hurtado, founder of Diaza Football, is a valuable resource and ally. It gives me great confidence to know he has a real understanding of the industry and has seen the soccer landscape in the United States. Being professionally outfitted in quality gear is a huge plus. Diaza is also involved in community projects, which aligns with our own mission statement of giving back. We look forward to working with DIAZA on many projects. Ultimately, we aspire to be a professional-level soccer club born and raised in New Jersey and have DIAZA be one of our strongest allies. Resounding words to confirm that is always #BetterTogether.

HL92 Academy: The newest addition to the Diaza Family

on Nov 29 2022
Diaza keeps working hard side by side with these amazing projects. Academies and organizations that help Young women and men athletes through development stages and path to pro soccer. Diaza knows where greatness starts. HL92 provides the best possible experience for all their students, including an enriched learning environment that will help players to get ahead in their games and life. Their passionate Staff is ready to teach players how to learn, create and grow! HL92 player development curriculum will help campers become better ball handlers, passers, shooters, and more! The culture at the camp is different from what you would find anywhere else. The kids will build friendships that can last a lifetime, from strong leadership skills to character building. But let’s get to know a little bit more about the man behind HL92. The words from Henry David Lopez, creator, and owner of HL92, speak for themselves: "I was born in a very humble neighborhood in my country, Guatemala, in ‘Las Ilusiones Zona 18’ to be exact, a place with few opportunities but with a lot of passion for football. I have played since I was a boy in a team called Brazil and at 8 I was invited to try out with the biggest team in my country and the team of my heart (Municipal). From then, I started playing with them and went through all the training categories up to the special category (Reserves) and then my adventure abroad in the United States began." Henry played for U16, U17, U20, and National Team in Guatemala and, also, played in the U20 World Cup in Colombia in 2011. He was also part of the Gold Cup and two World Cup qualifiers games with the National Team. At the U20 level, Henry even scored the goal that allowed his country to enter its first-ever World Cup. Guatemala beat USA 2 to 1 with that unforgettable goal. “In our Soccer Academy HL92”, explains Henry Lopez, “We want to promote the sport in the lives of each of the boys and girls who are part of it. Beyond good footballers, our mission is to also form good citizens and people with values and respect for others. Football is universal and unites people of all languages, races, and genders and allows us to carry an encouraging and hopeful message with the choice to our daily lives.” HL92 also has summer camps that focus on developing each soccer player’s technical, physical, and tactical abilities to reach their potential regardless of skill level. From the first day of camp, participants will learn how to improve themselves by learning different skills and practicing in a safe environment. Experienced soccer players will practice strategies with different game modules aimed at fulfilling their potential. “We want to take our players to competitions of the highest level, and continue to train players to be eligible in their schools, universities, and in the future for professional teams. We know we are on the right track, and we want to teach them that all dreams come true by believing in God, hard work, and discipline.”, details Lopez. Another important point in Diaza's relationship with these organizations is their bonds with the community. This is what Henry Lopez shares about that: “We are working so that our community has the best version of us to be at the service of each one of them, not only athletically but also a humanitarian aspect. We have different activities throughout the year. Camps for the mental training and development of values of our youth, at Christmas we pack and send gifts to different countries to help children in need, and we also take part in social festivals in our community.” Working together is such a challenge and opens a lot of new opportunities for both HL92 and Diaza. That’s why Lopez says: “Diaza is a very serious brand and like us, it started as a family and as a dream that little by little has expanded and created huge things in a short time. We know that the presentation of a team is also a very important detail, and we want Diaza to see our champions and our developing players in order to reach our goals and objectives in the short, medium, and long term.” The proposal is clear: We are sure that we can do huge teamwork by sharing values and passion for football.

DIAZA AND NOAH CAVANAGH TO BE AN AWESOME COLLABORATION!

on Nov 22 2022
DIAZA announces the addition of Noah Cavanagh as one of its remarkable brand collaborations. Noah is a professional soccer player from the United States currently playing for NISA’s Flower City Union. On the field, he’s a defender fierce, passionate, and intense. Off the field, he manages a career as YouTuber, forthcoming author, aspiring entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Whether in football or in life, there's only one phrase he believes sums up what Noah’s striving for and want to inspire in others: BE AWESOME. That simple but powerful statement shares the same foundations as The Diaza Mentality. So Noah and Diaza are really a perfect match as “THE CHAMPIONS BRAND” will provide his venture with exclusive customized gear that’ll help to express its uniqueness. “Football has been my favorite sport since I can remember. I played a few different sports growing up at the request of my parents, but I always had a ball at my feet!”, Noah explains, “When I turned 11 or 12 is when I stopped playing/participating in the other sports and took football seriously. From there, it's been a beautiful journey getting to play semi-pro, college, and now pro for several years! My motto with playing football is "create your masterpiece" which is my way of expressing the artistic and creative side of football on the pitch. It keeps me grounded now in the same joy and excitement I got as a 10- or 11-year-old playing in my backyard.” In his coaching side, Noah offers 1 on 1 coaching for athletes and coaches to help take their football career to the next level. His programs include presential and Zoom sessions and, through his YouTube Channel: training videos, day-in-the-life vlogs, book reviews, and more. His content shows a depth preview into the everyday life of a professional soccer player. But… let’s get to know more about it in his own words: “Outside football, I create content on YouTube about my life as a professional football player. It's my way of helping young footballers along their journey pick the right gear to use, train in a way that's game-realistic and effective, and inspire consistency and work ethic. I'm also in the process of building the most comprehensive and "all in one" football app called "TRAIN AWESOME" which will be released in early 2023. I'm working with established professionals in their respective fields to put the best mental, tactical, physical, technical, and nutritional training in one place! There's an old saying I love that goes: "we become the best teacher for our past selves" - and the mission of the app and YouTube is to help young players reach the next level in their football careers.” On the pitch, Noah brings tenacity, leadership, energy, and excellent technical and tactical execution. Off the pitch, his goal is to create avenues of ACCESS for players who otherwise wouldn't understand the value of the other parts of being a professional football player. “I see young players train their bodies well”, Cavanagh expresses, “but there's a lack of knowledge about the importance of the OTHER aspects. I hope to bring that knowledge and expertise to the forefront of young players' minds as they navigate their careers, however short or long.” Also, his commitment to the community is something to be said: Community can be defined in a few different ways - there's a family community, your friend community, your local community, and an online community. For Noah: “The most important part for me when I'm in each of these communities is being valuable. Another way of saying that is I want to be able to be in service of the people I'm around, whether that's answering every one of the hundreds of comments I get on my YouTube channel, being the best version of myself to my wife, or giving local store owners free tickets to come to my team's games with their families.” Now is the time for this new partnership to come to life, the chance to get together two awesome mentalities. Diaza's special apparel line will complete the circle of a perfect environment around Noah Cavanagh’s ventures. In his words: “Working with Diaza gives me joy. To see young footballers outfitted in gear they love to rock, so creating a physical representation of my brand and what I stand for has been a natural progression for me as the channel grows. The brand was recommended to me by a friend and has given me the opportunity to express that desire to share good quality gear with my audience. Customization and uniqueness are important to my brand and the way I see the world, and Diaza was able to help me express that through their custom clothing design and production. I'm looking forward to creating some more unique and brand-aligned merch with Diaza as we move forward into the new year!”.

TOGETHER TO “CONQUER” THE SOCCER COMMUNITY!

on Sep 09 2022
Diaza and Conquer will work together to join forces and bring something different to the Soccer world.  We proudly announce a new partnership for Diaza Football, a further step in our commitment to emphasizing the principles of our brand: hard work, consistency and love for Soccer. Conquer is a sports and technology company based in NYC. Its main offering is the Conquer app that ranks athletes and lets them create and join local sporting events. Louis Long, Conquer’s Co-Founder and CEO, gave sincere insight about his company's approach to the “Soccer World”: “We started this because after graduating school, we found it too difficult to stay involved in sports. Matt Lee (Co-Founder and COO) and I were both strong soccer players, but lost touch with the game once we entered the workforce. Moving to new cities with a limited network and a busy work schedule made league play nearly impossible for us. We wanted to create a platform where playing sports with those around you was simple, regardless of work schedule, network or wealth.” Diaza will be creating all Conquer’s custom sports gear from league jerseys to soccer balls, to jackets and sweatshirts.  “We're super excited for this partnership as outside of  gear, we hope to host tournaments, events, and pick-ups with them. At Conquer, we're all about giving our users a custom experience and growing overall participation in sports”, commented Long, Conquer’s CEO, “We chose Diaza because they are NYC based, super talented, do all custom gear, and are great people. We were introduced to them by our advisor David Ricca who we respect and trust very much.”, continued.  Conquer's mission is to enable widespread competition for all ages and skill levels. They cater to new, current, and previous athletes who once excelled at their sports, but no longer have the time, organizational framework, and/or venue to compete. Ultimately, the platform seeks to restore the pre-game thrill that athletes miss, love, and need. “We want to grow soccer in the US by making the game more accessible.”, Long added, “On Conquer, players will soon be able to not just create and join local games, but also grow a following and get ranked. We've found that sports have gotten very expensive and political. On our platform, players will be able to be instantly recognized in the community on our leaderboard, and can play with the competition of their choosing. Gone are the days of arbitrary bounds such as gender and age.” The goal is one: reunite communities and allow people from different backgrounds to unite over their common love for sports. Similar to Diaza, Conquer's relationship with the community is strong and growing. Soon, they’re hosting a charity tournament with EVLOVESNYC, a local non-profit that prepares gourmet meals for local New Yorkers.  “We also are throwing a party on Sept 17 in Times Square to further engage the community and celebrate our users. We do our best to get to know our players and organizers”, Long stated. With a focus on working together for the realization of many projects, Diego Hurtado, CEO and Founder of Diaza, commented: “We love what Conquer is trying to achieve, like we always state we work from the Pros to the Sunday league teams, we believe all people can love and play the sport no matter the level, no matter the league. This app is an incredible tool that gives Soccer to the people. You can literally just press a button and go play, make friends, and the most important thing is to be part of the game, it doesn’t get better than that. We believe Conquer will be a big thing and we are more than happy to be working with them.” More information on http://conquer-us.com and social media.

Following The Miami FC's Junior Palacios announcement, Luana became first woman ambassador for the brand, leading a long squad yet to be presented.Diaza continues its campaign supporting young players, recognizing their effort on and off the field. Emphasizing the principles of the brand: hard work, consistency, commitment and love for Soccer.Diego Hurtado, brand founder and CEO, gave details on how this project started: "As we began working with the clubs, we witnessed the players' incredible response to the brand. All players love Diaza, which inspires us to seek for athletes who share the Diaza mentality. We want to recognize them in some way for their efforts."Playing for @afcannarbor in 2022, Grabias is a high-level athlete with experience in the Brazilian game, having capped her nation at the U20 level in 2019. "I consider myself a smart athlete. I like to have the ball at my feet and then make my decision.", luana said on the occasion of her arrival in Ann Arbor. On the decision to choose Junior Palacios or now Luana as the brand's first woman ambassador, Diaza's CEO, Diego Hurtado, said: "We analyze the story of each player. Junior's journey is remarkable, as he endured so much suffering, hard work, and sacrifices to reach the professional level. It was difficult for him. Same goes for Luana, Her family is also far away, as she is moving to a new country, with a different language and culture. These things are extremely difficult, and she is sacrificing everything to pursue her dream. As soon as I spoke with her, I realized she was the ideal candidate for our first woman ambassador. We want to encourage women's soccer since, in my opinion, women dominate soccer in the United States. These types of players deserve some recognition, we want to talk about them, about their stories, we want these types of players to inspire the new generations. We want to motivate and encourage youth players through Diaza."The Diaza Mentality is the idea that transcends any boundaries. It is an attitude of life that is carried in the blood and is expressed in every movement, as we said, on and off the field. When asked what you really need to be part of the Diaza Familia, Diego Hurtado didn't hesitate: "Simple, The Diaza Mentality! You have to be a player that really wants it. That never finds an excuse to keep pushing, that no matter what he or she knows, must keep going. They must recognize that hard work always pays off".You can find more about Diaza apparel or Diaza Ambassadors on social media @diazafootball

DIAZA AND PRESTIGE LEAGUE TO WORK TOGETHER!

on Jun 27 2022
The Prestige League and Diaza announced today that the brand will be the official uniform partner and provider for Prestige League.  Diaza continues to explore ways to expand the sport, resulting in something that will transcend the football world for many years to come. “Prestige League is born of the desire to help our community, and to promote healthy sports, giving the opportunity to boys and children to share the same passion on a field - that is what we call ‘Futbol’,” said Anibal Talamontes from the Prestige League organization. "We want to make the league a door for those who do not have the means or financial resources to achieve their goals and see their dreams realized. What we didn't have, we want others to have,” Talamontes continued. Prestige League reached out to Diaza via social media, asking how Diaza operates. “This is a reflection of how well our social media and marketing team works together to secure deals like this one. We recognized after a few meetings that it was the right fit. We share the same perspective on the game, thus it is best to move forward and create something unique," said Diego Hurtado, Diaza's founder and CEO. Prestige League, a competitive league in Houston, TX will be the first league completely sponsored by Diaza. "We are excited to present something original and help the league to show something very different,“ said Hurtado. "Every weekend will be a Soccer festival, as Houston is a city where there is a lot of talented football. There is still plenty to accomplish, but I am confident that everything will work all out,” Hurtado continued. Prestige League aims to have the best players in the city in the league, and adding fun to the competition element. "We have been planning this great project and we have great expectations. It's not just about football, it's about sharing a single passion,” said Francisco Ortega, one of the Prestige League organizer.  Diaza values community involvement and loves bringing new ideas to the table. They work closely with teams, such as UPSL clubs, to produce customized items for their supporters and also assisting them in opening online stores to ensure the team’s brands are more visible. "We are continuously on the lookout for new projects; whether it is a Sunday league squad or a professional team, we recognize and value the contributions of all types of owners to the game," said Hurtado. 2022 has been a great year for Diaza. "We are fortunate to continue growing and working with the right clubs. We love what we do and know what we can bring to the table. Next year will be our greatest yet," Hurtado said excitedly.
