The 2025–26 season has only just begun, but for Campobasso FC, the journey is already shaping its identity. What started in mid-August with anticipation has quickly turned into results that reflect both triumph and the hard lessons of competition.
A Confident Start in the Coppa Italia
On August 16, Campobasso opened its Coppa Italia Serie C campaign with style, defeating Casertana FC 3–0 at home. It was more than a victory; it was a statement of intent. The squad displayed the tactical discipline, sharp execution, and collective hunger that had been built during preseason.
A Tough First Step in Serie C
A week later, on August 23, the club began its Serie C season away against Ravenna FC. Despite a spirited performance, Campobasso fell 3–2, a narrow loss that underlined both the challenges of the league and the resilience of a team that refused to stop fighting until the final whistle.
Rather than discouragement, the match fueled determination. New signings showed flashes of quality, while experienced leaders carried the fight. Even in defeat, the identity of this squad, hard work, grit, and belief, was clear for all to see.
On August 30, they overcame Torres with a 2–1 victory. First league and home win, combined with the Coppa triumph, have built a foundation of belief, not only in the locker room but across the Molise community.
